A New Post

I keep checking this thing to see if anyone has updated it and decided I might as well be the one. We are currently in Sacramento, CA, selling security systems. Theron is doing really well and is enjoying the guys in the office. I get to stay home and play with Logan all day which is a nice change. Iwas planning to get caught up on my scrapbooking, but I accidently left it in Idaho. Happily, I will be returning in a couple weeks to attend my cousin's wedding. I am hoping that, even with all the new baggage restrictions, I will be able to get it here. Hope everyone is having a good summer!

Random request: It seems like there has to be a better way to feed Logan than 4-6 jars of baby food every day. He doesn't really like a ton of texture yet, but we're willing to try. Any suggestions/ideas?

Abby fell in love with cottage cheese and also does yogurt. She also likes food she can "dip" and eventually she east the chips and chicken nuggets and carrots, too. Pastas are smooth and slimy (like baby food) so he might like that. Sounds like CA is wonderful!

Oh, Curtis just reminded me, we also made our own baby food. We just bought cans of pears and peaches at the case lot sales and put it in the mixer. I think Abby saw the real food we were mixing up for her (we would offer he little pieces) and eventually decided to try it.

I don't know!!! All I've figured out after having three kids is that I know a whole lot less than I knew before I had children at all. I would just say - keep trying! I read once that a child had to be introduced to a food 8 times before they recognize it. Just keep offering different foods, and eventually he'll try it. It's funny...All three of my kids quit baby food almost immediately when they discovered and finally embraced "grown up" food. With all three of them, I had jars of baby food that I had to give away because they refused to eat it after they had been so enlightened. Good luck!

The books (or websites)should tell you what table foods he's alowed to have. The yogurt should work, can he have mashed potatoes? cheerios? He should be old enough to start trying some not-so-baby food. Good Luck!
