We're still here!!!

Hello everyone. We thought we'd post a few Christmas pictures!

As you can tell we had a fun Christmas. Josie still thinks this toy puppy will come to her if she pats her legs.

Also, Ed put our home on the market. Crazy huh?

We've been thinking about it for a while and then last thursday someone broke into our house and stole a bunch of our stuff. It was really sad and upsetting, but we're getting things worked out. But that made Ed call our realtor and list our home on Saturday. We'll see how that goes. it's not really a good time to be selling.

So remember to lock your doors and windows!!!
Love,
Ed, Annie, and Josie

A hole in the ground

Last year Theron and I bought a piece of land in the hopes of building a house. We were going to wait until next fall to build it until someone suggested we do it now. That was in late November. We thought we would just get things lined up so we would be ready in the fall, but we found an eager contractor and despite the snow and cold temperatures, we broke ground yesterday.
The hole in the ground makes everything very real. The next few months are going to be interesting, that's for sure. I'll post updates on here, but I'll be going into more detail on our blog: theronandheidi.blogspot.com

Coming Soon to a Baugh Family Near You...

"BABY BAUGHH THE SEQUEL"
Coming July 2008
In a Select Room at Jordan Valley Hospital Only
Don't miss the sneak peak the first week of February
Since we told our families yesterday I guess it's safe to post a little more publicly. We are expecting! That's right, Abby will soon be a sibling. My due date is July 4th (which both sides of our family just loved!). We like Max and Ruby as names and both agree on them so we'll be excited for anything when we find out in February if our new addition will be a boy or girl. YAY!
Also, I posted the same note on my Blog. If you would like to look at it it's curtisandlexy.blogspot.com. It does require a password so if you can't get in just email me and I'll add you to the permissions list. Thanks!

Sweetness

I just wanted to share a few pictures of my sweet Abby. Emily took these while we were in St. George (pretty good, I'd say). She's so huge now!-Lex

Better late than never!

I didn't get a chance to copy these over to this blog earlier, but I wanted to share Aiden's Halloween pictures. Love the photos from Emily of the kids' costumes! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving this week!

A boy blessed

Sorry Emily! I have been without the internet for the past week. Here is our little man in his blessing outfit. I was nervous it wouldn't fit because it is for 3-6 mos, but my boy grew right into it. I took the picture before church, but from what I understand this is the same way he looked during the blessing- awake and alert. Theron was very nervous to give a blessing into a microphone but did a great job.

This picture is of Theron's family outside our chapel. It is the only pic I have of me holding Logan.

And here is the proud Papa! We missed having all of you here with us, but if you must know there would not have been room in my ward's small chapel. Two other babies were blessed the same day and there was standing room only. There almost wasn't enough room for the 11 men to stand in Logan's circle! We are lucky to have so much family so close.

Happy Halloween

It's been a long time since a post (I keep waiting to see Blessing Day photos - hint, hint). So, here a few shots of my kids at Halloween. We just had a fabulous time, and the kids were so excited. Since we've taken Austin off food dye, it makes for a difficult holiday. But, he and Macy went trick-or-treating, kept a few pieces of candy, and left the rest of it out for the Halloween Goblin. He took the candy in the middle of the night and left Spiderman magnetix/lego set for Austin and Polly Pocket for Macy. It actually worked out quite well. We hope you had a fun holiday as well! Love you all, Emily

Logan's blessing

As far as we can work out, Logan's blessing will be October 28th at 2:50 p.m. I'll make sure we call everyone as it gets closer, but now you know. We meet in the north chapel in the stake center by the temple. Hope to see you all there!

Ta-da!

Here he is- my beautiful baby boy! Sarah has been requesting pictures with his eyes open so here are a few. I took this one today. (He was brighter-eyed before I found the camera.)

This is how Logan likes to go to bed a night. He won't sleep very long flat on his back so we put him in this cradle swing my cousin loaned us. (don't worry-we uncover his face before the lights go out)

<-Another preferred position is belly to belly.
Sometimes he is happy and awake at the same time ->

All in all I can't believe how much I love him already.

Baby Shattuck gets a name

Late breaking news: the baby's name will be Logan Spencer Shattuck.

two big events

Alison and Troy are gone, and Baby Shattuck is here! The pictures say it all. The wedding and reception went so well and Mom and baby are doing great. He was born Thursday at 8:24 pm, weighing 8lb 2 oz and 20 1/2 " long. They induced labor because the doctor thought he was getting awfully big. He takes after his daddy. No name yet. We are enjoying all of your contributions as well.

Alison's Wedding

I was such a nice day last Friday, and Alison made a beautiful bride (or Princess as Macy keeps calling her). I actually don't have any pictures of Alison (she was busy with a professional photographer), but here are some pictures of other people who were there.

Alison and Troy - Thank you for sharing your day with us. You guys make such a cute couple, and both of you had eyes that were just glowing with excitement and optimism. Congrats!

My New Hobby

Hey everyone,

There is absolutely nothing going on at my house as exciting (or as beautiful) as Hawaii, but I wanted to share some pictures with you. Greg has been encouraging me to get a hobby for eight years now, and I finally found one. He bought me a really nice camera for our anniversary, and I've been playing around. I've taken about 300 pictures, experimenting with angles, light, and camera settings, and I've got a handful of pictures that I really like. I just thought I would share some with you. I have more on my blog if you want to see (gremily2.blogspot.com). Here are a few of my favorites:

My Sweet Paige (4 months):

Macy (she was watching some dogs and became very concerned when they ran away):

Austin painting a shark from a kit that we got at the aquarium. He did such a great job concentrating and working so hard on making his shark perfect. (That's an octopus on his cheek; they were painting faces at the aquarium that day.)

I hope all is well with everyone. I got Alison's wedding announcement today. It's adorable!

Abby

Abby has fallen in love with boating! She is definitely her father's daughter, or her great grandfather's grand-daughter ;o). She loves the water and being on the lake. We've taken her a bunch this summer and can see that we will need to buy her her own life jacket. Here she is on the boat. She is also starting to walk but she is afraid. She holds on to one of my fingers with her right hand. We did trick her into taking a few steps on her own, but if you try letting go she will stick out her butt, freeze for a second (long enough to give you a scowl and pout) and sit down crying. What a girl!

Weird Food Day

Jeff posted this on his blog, so I thought I would post it here too:

So I think the Russells have a new tradition: Various odd fruit night. The night of the 6th we went shopping and as I was browsing the fruit section I saw a fruit that caught my eye. It looked a little something like this:

Being in an adventurous mood I decided to try it. My sisters picked up on the idea of buying strange fruit. Christin picked up a coconut and Mini decided to get asparagus. Nothing too crazy, I guess, but other than my fruit there wasn’t anything we’ve never tried before. Anyway, turns out my fruit was a dragonfruit, and we had to look up online how to cut and eat it.

Turns out everything was delicious! The coconut was fun to break open and drain. The dragonfruit was really sweet and dyed everything it touched red. The asparagus, well, we cooked it wrong and had to throw it away.
